Paper Presentation Guidelines

  1. Presenters willing to present at UDAAN 2019 must be a registered delegate at the time of submission of abstract.
  2. Presentations can be submitted under 2 categories- Student and Doctors.
  3. Student category is for undergraduate students and interns. Doctors include post graduate students, faculties and practitioners.
  4. Presentations can be made under any of these categories: clinical, research and general.
  5. The presenter has to specific the type of presentation in the prescribed format (for example:- clinical/research/innovative)

  7. Only one entry per institute will be accepted. The entry being sent must be forwarded by the principal/head of the institute. Only E-Submission is accepted.
  8. The presentation should not have been submitted and accepted at another state, national or international scientific meeting.
  9. Each registered delegate can submit only one scientific abstract.
  10. The presenter should adhere to the time limit for presentation. All oral presentations will be for a duration of 8 minutes followed by a discussion of 2 minutes.
  11. File format should be PowerPoint [.PPT]
  12. Only Single screen multimedia projectors will be provided for presentation.
  13. The official language of the meeting and all communication must be in English.
  14. No commercial products endorsement will be permitted.
  15. There shall be only three best papers selected for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position.
  16. The decision of the judges shall be final.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

  1. Presenters willing to present at UDAAN 2019 must be a registered delegate at the time of submission of abstract.

  5. The presenter has to specify the type of presentation in the prescribed format (for example:- clinical/research/innovative/0
  6. Poster title must be less than 10 words and express the topic essence
  7. Poster shall not include any indication of the personal details of authors.
  8. Avoid reference to institution names, locations, or funding sources in the abstract.
  9. Only one author is allowed to present his/her abstract at the conference.
  10. Only One submission per author is permitted for the competition. Certificate of participation will be presented only to the presenter.
  11. Do not submit on-going studies, or abstract with incomplete result or conclusion.
  12. submissions will be rejected if the above rules are not met.
  13. The abstract should not been submitted and accepted at another national or international scientific meeting.
  14. The file should be in PNG, JPEG format (preferably).
  15. The file should be more than 7 MB and less than 15 MB in size (If submitting two images the combine size of two images should be less than 15 MB).
  16. The file should be in landscape format (preferably)

Quiz Competition

  1. One team from each college/institute.
  2. Each team can have maximum of 4 participants and minimum 2 participants.
  3. The quiz will be of 45 minutes duration.
  4. In case the number of teams registering for quiz are more, an objective type screening test may be conducted.
  5. The questions will be in the form of multiple choice, true/false statement, specific-answer type etc.
  6. Replacement of any participant after registration is not allowed.
  7. Quizmaster’s decision will be final.

Skit

  1. Only one team per batch.
  2. Must have minimum 7 members and maximum 10 members.
  3. Time limit is 10+5 minutes.
  4. Props allowed.
  5. Participants must bring their own song in Pendrive.

Dance

  1. Pre-auditions would be held before the final event. Participants would be allowed to perform only when selected in auditions.
  2. A soft copy and a hard copy of audio is to be submitted on the day of auditions. Participants are requested to carry a copy of audio to the event for a safer side.
  3. Costumes are to be managed by students. They won’t be allotted any costumes by the management.
  4. Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any slangs or derogatory language.
  5. The participants will be judged on Choreography, Costumes, Synchronization, Energy, Expressions and following bases.
  6. Any kind of vulgarity is prohibited and won’t be tolerated.
  7. Participants should reach venue at least 1 hour prior before their performance.
  8. Participants are requested to take care of their belongings, if any loss management will not be responsible.

Solo Dance

  • Maximum entries: 2 students per batch.
  • Categories- 1 Indian & 1 Western.
  • English songs for western and Hindi songs for Indian dance.
    *Categories- INDIAN – 1 & FREE STYLE – 1
  • FREE STYLE– NO HINDI OR INDIAN ORIGIN SONGS ARE ALLOWED.
  • INDIAN – NO ENGLISH SONGS ARE ALLOWED.
    ( BOLLYWOOD +CLASSICAL + FOLK ALLOWED)
  • Time limit is 2+1 minutes.
  • Props allowed.
  • Participants must bring their own song in Pen drive.
  • Pendrive should be handed over to the sound desk 60 min,before the performance.
  • Vulgarity in anyform will not be entertained.

Group Dance

  • Maximum entries: 2 groups per batch.
  • Categories- INDIAN – 1 & FREESTYLE– 1
  • FREE STYLE– NO HINDI OR INDIAN ORIGIN SONGS ARE ALLOWED.
  • INDIAN – NO ENGLISH SONGS ARE ALLOWED.
    (BOLLYWOOD + CLASSICAL + FOLK ALLOWED)
  • Timelimit is 3 + 2 minutes.
  • 8 - 12 members in each group.
  • Props allowed.
  • Participants must bring their own song in Pen drive.
  • Pen drive should be handed over to the sound desk 60 min, before the performance.
  • Vulgarity in any form will not be entertained.

Duet Dance

  • Maximum entries : 1duet per batch.
  • Categories -Indian/Western (FUSION ALLOWED)
  • Time limit is 2+1 minutes.
  • Props allowed.
  • Participants must bring their own song in Pen drive.
  • Pen drive should be handed over to the sound desk 60 min, before the performance.
  • Vulgarity in anyform will not be entertained

Mad Ads

  1. Topics would be provided on the spot.
  2. 5 minutes preparation time for each team.
  3. Time limit for the performing the advertisement is 1-2 minutes.
  4. Participants shall be judged on the basis of spontaneity, content, adherence to the topic, on-stage presentation, coordination and overall appeal of the advertisement.

Work Model

  1. The topic for model should be related to "DENTISTRY"
  2. Model can be made from the following materials -
    (Thermocol, cardboard, mount board, balsa wood, plaster or any other suitable material, etc.)
  3. Team shall consist of not more than 2 members.
  4. There can be multiple teams from the same college.
  5. Time limit is 4+1 min.
  6. No specific scale of the model

Singing

  1. Time allotted for each performance is 2-4 minutes.
  2. Participants will not be allowed to refer to the lyrics while singing.
  3. The participants will be judged on the vocal range, vocal quality, clarity, rhythm and their stage presence.
  4. The participants should bring their own musical instruments if required in the performance.
  5. Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any slangs or derogatory language.
  6. Participants should reach venue at least 1 hour prior before their performance.
  7. Participants are requested to take care of their belongings, if any loss management will not be responsible.

Fashion Show

  1. Time allotted for each performance is 08-14 minutes.
  2. Participants should follow the theme compulsory.
  3. A soft copy and a hard copy of audio is to be submitted 2 days prior before event. Participants are requested to carry a copy of audio to the event for a safer side.
  4. Costumes are to be managed by students. They won’t be allotted any costumes by the management.
  5. Choice of song is open to the participants but the song should not have any slangs or derogatory language.
  6. The participants will be judged on Outfit, Fashion, Stage Confidence, Team coordination, Expressions and following bases.
  7. Any kind of vulgarity is prohibited and won’t be tolerated.
  8. Participants should reach venue at least 1 hour prior before their performance.
  9. Participants are requested to take care of their belongings, if any loss management will not be responsible.
